It's so important to press our refresh buttons! I'm having a year of it, and I know the experiences will enrich my writing when I finally settle down again. I agree that we've been programmed to feel we must be doing things - and often to put our creative work well down the to do list. In one way, all we do is research for artists. And yes, reading is so important and, I fear, becoming a lost art in our instant, bite sized world.
